Abstract

Imaging of the myocardium with ⁹⁹ᴹTc labelled methoxy isobutyl isocyanide (MIBI) is an important examination in the management of patients with coronary artery disease. In this study MIBI (UVHART) was locally synthesised, evaluated in baboons and clinically used. The synthesis was a three-step process, after which UVHART kits were prepared, freeze dried and tested for pyrogenity and sterility.
