Abstract

Dit is welbekend dat varswaterslakke as vektore vir trematoodparasiete kan optree. Slakopnames het aangetoon dat Bulinus tropicus nie net die mees wydverspreide slakspesie in die Oranje-Vrystaat is nie, maar ook die hoogste getalle per vindplek en die meeste vindplekke per oppervlakeenheid opgelewer het.
