Abstract
Dichloromethane extraction of the branches and leaves of a young Heteromorpha arborescens plant (known as parsley tree or muthatha-vhanna in Tshivenda) resulted in the isolation of an anti-inflammatory coumarin, 6,7-dimethoxy-2H-chromen-2-one.
