Abstract
In teenstelling met hemofilie, die geslagsgekoppelde bloedingsneiging wat Aleksey, die laaste Romanov - kroonprins van Rusland van koningin Victoria, sy grootjie aan moederskant geerf het, word trombofilie beskou as ’n aangebore of verworwe afwyking van die bloedstollingsmeganisme wat ’n verhoogde risiko vir trombose inhou.
