Wetenskaplike kennis speel in die moderne samelewing ’n kritieke rol by besluitneming op alle vlakke. Daarom is dit noodsaaklik dat beleidmakers, die media en die algemene publiek in staat moet wees om feite te onderskei van blote interpretasies deur belanghebbende partye.
